One of my big goals this year is to finally become a registered voter. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy considering the pandemic and how our usual process goes. But it was something I had to do. It is something that would create an impact. I am only one person, but my vote counts. Every vote counts. It will and it can!🙋🏻‍♀️

It was a random idea, I messaged Roxci (we didn’t know each other personally but I follow her on Instagram) I told her I will be in San Diego, asked her if she wants to do a shoot, and she said yes!🤍

This was one of those moments where I wanted to put myself outside of my comfort zone because that’s the time where growth happens. For one, I get nervous meeting new people. I also left my trusty full frame camera and decided to use my #fujifilmxa5 with it’s kit lens.☺️

I love how it turned out. It shows how important it is to utilize what’s available to you at the moment. You don’t have to have the “best” gears to start creating. Work with what you have.☺️

I still get nervous meeting new people, and I know it’s something I can overcome by just facing it.☺️ I have been collaborating with people I meet online for the longest time, some I am still friends with to this day.🤍

Roxci and Vergs are just two kind souls! They are so sweet and fun! Wish we had more time but I’m really just grateful I got to meet them.☺️ Thank you so much Roxci and Vergs!

A random early morning muni-muni:

If you know me well, you’ll know how firm I am with my values and beliefs. You’ll know how intentional I am with the things I choose to do. I am compassionate but I also know how to stand up for myself. If you know me well and I trust you, you’ve probably seen me dance silly, attempt to reach a high note, or laugh hysterically. Oh and you most probably have seen me cry or get frustrated.🌝

If you know me well, you know that I have a lot of growing to do, I am not always as firm and as intentional as I want to be. But I always find my way back. Often with the help of people I love.🤍

Just this morning, I sent love notes to people I am grateful for. If I haven’t sent you one but opened up to you just recently, do know that I am sincerely grateful for you.🤍

I also need to give myself gratitude. I don’t think I give myself enough credit. I make an effort to grow - I allow myself to feel pain, and “discomfort” (thanks for this fairly accurate term Beffy) when necessary. I hold myself accountable for my actions and I show up, even if sometimes it means being vulnerable and exposing a piece of my heart.❤️

It helps my creative mood when I experiment, and produce something. Pre-pandemic, I would collaborate with friends, or strangers, even!😂 But for now, I made do with what’s available. Myself, and a little portion in my room, where the light hits just right!🤍

Filing this under quarantine self portraits and definitely something I would love to explore doing more of - if there are willing volunteers!🌝
